Iraqis voted over the weekend in large numbers, and apparently ratified their federalist constitution with the support of a large number of Sunnis.
This historic event was greeted on the Left by much gloom, backpedaling and yeah but-ing.
If you have Bush-hating Liberal friends, try to be extra sensitive to them today. If your workplace offers grief counseling, be a good friend and urge them to see the company psychologist -- it's not healthy to keep negative emotions bottled up, you know.
And while it might be tempting to mock those Liberals who constantly predict the failure of American policy in Iraq, with a confidence that belies how consistently wrong they've been, please don't gloat; instead, try to understand their rage.
You see, it's not that Liberals have anything against the Iraqi People themselves, it's just that what's good for the Iraqi People also happens to be good for George W. Bush, and that is intolerable for Liberals. In fact, the Left in America is so driven by hatred for President Bush that many would rather see the Iraqi People lose, and America lose in the bargain, than see George Bush's policy win.
Now can you see why it's so important to get your Liberal friends into the psychologist's office?
