In the top of the hour FOX Radio newscast on my local station, reporting about GOP Senators joining Democrats to thwart the President on interrogation of captured terrorists, the News Reader described Lindsay Graham as a “senior Republican Senator.” Since the First-Term Senator from South Carolina is not a member of the Republican Senate Leadership, is it his chairmanship of two obscure subcommittees that makes him “senior,” or does Old-Media celebrity --conferred on any Republican willing to backstab President Bush – qualify Graham as a “senior" Republican Senator?
