Friday night my wife and I went to downtown Chicago with another couple, for a boat tour of the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. As we passed under a bridge, a passenger mentioned the now infamous Dave Matthews Band Bus incident of a few days before, which prompted us to (as non-chalantly as possible) shield our heads with our hands each time we floated beneath a bridge. As we did so, I was inspired to a limerick:
Two couples got onto a boat,
for a tour of the city, afloat.
With their hands overspreading
their heads, they were dreading
what each bus on each bridge might unload
