Obstinately standing by the now discredited National Guard memo forgeries that CBS/60 Minutes II used to smear President Bush, Dan Rather is beginning to sound like that knight in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail," who has every limb sheared off by the Black Knight, but continues hopping on his stumps, insisting "it's just a flesh wound."
When our family prays for President Bush, we often pray that "no weapon formed against him will prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgement will be condemned. For this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is [from God]." The past four years have been a continual fulfillment of that Word from God. The Leftmedia calls this phenomenon "teflon," because they can't (and don't want to) see the hand of God at work, especially in the life of a hayseed like George W. Bush, who doesn't even read The Holy Scriptures (i.e. The New York Times), and speaks in such a non-nuanced way about archaic concepts like "good and evil."
Conventional wisdom claimed that Clinton was a teflon president, too; but it's not so. As Slick Willie's personal approval ratings consistently demonstrated, most Americans despised him, but figured he was doing a good job, so why rock the boat? Clinton is a laughingstock to this day, except among the Democrat hardcore that worships his "success." Of course, the Democrats should be careful what they ask for, another eight years of "success" like Clinton brought to his Party, and you might have to visit the Field Museum to see a Democrat -- that exhibit could be appropriately placed beside the upcoming exhibit titled TV Network News.
