Teresa -vs- John

Teresa H. Kerry believes the U.S.A. has already captured Osama Bin Laden, and President Bush is waiting to trot him out as an October surprise.

On the same day Teresa issued this "insight" John F. Kerry charged President Bush with dereliction as Commander in Chief, because he has not concentrated enough on capturing Osama Bin Laden.

Does John Kerry think his wife is wrong? If Bush already has Osama in the hopper, why on earth would he waste time and resources hunting for him? If Kerry thinks his wife is right, why would he want Bush to chase around an enemy whom we have already captured?

How do you spell CBS? "L-a-u-g-h-i-n-g-s-t-o-c-k"

Obstinately standing by the now discredited National Guard memo forgeries that CBS/60 Minutes II used to smear President Bush, Dan Rather is beginning to sound like that knight in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail," who has every limb sheared off by the Black Knight, but continues hopping on his stumps, insisting "it's just a flesh wound."

When our family prays for President Bush, we often pray that "no weapon formed against him will prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgement will be condemned. For this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is [from God]." The past four years have been a continual fulfillment of that Word from God. The Leftmedia calls this phenomenon "teflon," because they can't (and don't want to) see the hand of God at work, especially in the life of a hayseed like George W. Bush, who doesn't even read The Holy Scriptures (i.e. The New York Times), and speaks in such a non-nuanced way about archaic concepts like "good and evil."

Conventional wisdom claimed that Clinton was a teflon president, too; but it's not so. As Slick Willie's personal approval ratings consistently demonstrated, most Americans despised him, but figured he was doing a good job, so why rock the boat? Clinton is a laughingstock to this day, except among the Democrat hardcore that worships his "success." Of course, the Democrats should be careful what they ask for, another eight years of "success" like Clinton brought to his Party, and you might have to visit the Field Museum to see a Democrat -- that exhibit could be appropriately placed beside the upcoming exhibit titled TV Network News.

60 Minutes Exclusive: Original Found by LarryNaselli.com

Be sure to watch 60 Minutes this week, when I will be on with Dan Rather for an exclusive one-hour interview, as 60 Minutes breaks the story that I have recently obtained the original document of the Ten Commandments (see below), which CBS News' document expert has confirmed to be the authentic document transmitted to Moses by God Himself at Mt. Sanai.

Of course, this is great news for LarryNaselli.com, both for the national publicity, and for the opportunity to be associated with a news organization of CBS's caliber.

Requiem for a Once-Great Party (Election Year Update)
Now Playing: This is not your father's Democrat Party

With the Presidential Election Campaign having played out as it has, these reflections (originally written on 9/11/03) on the devolution of the Democrat Party seems especially relevant to update and replay.

it's hard to believe it's been only three years
since that horrible morning of terror and tears
when at last Dems of that Vietnam generation
gave first place to defending our vulnerable nation

when they stood by the side of the Commander in Chief
did you know that their act would be shallow and brief?
from the moment they sensed it was safe to resume
they reverted to gloom and they forecasted doom

yes, they've seized on each charge that might sever the bond
between People and President united so fond
first "he's moving too slow," then "he's rushing to war,"
from "connecting the dots," to "Bush Knew!" and there's more:

there was "No Blood For Oil," and "the French won't approve,"
and "without the U.N. we must not make a move."
"It's a quagmire," they claimed, and "the looting's too great,"
"the Museum's been emptied," (correction on page 48)

they bewailed "no food," and bemoaned "lack of water,"
scarcely noting Saddam no more rapes wives and daughters.
sixteen words caused such outrage and feigned indignation
by that same crowd that shilled for Slick's prevarications

with elections afoot, noses pressed to the pane,
this used-to-be-great Party's desperate to gain
a place at the levers of power once more,
even sowing discord in a nation at war.
could it be they don't care, or just don't understand,
that a kingdom divided cannot hope to stand?

yes, the Party of Truman and young JFK
now appears to have totally vanished away
like a stampede of lemmings, gone over a ledge
Dems have taken our politics beyond water's edge
though they saw how our enemies viciously kill
the Dems just do not get it, and they just never will.

Oh say, can you see the connection?

Stung by the Swiftboat Vets for Truth book and TV ads, John Kerry has asserted a connection between President Bush's Campaign and the independent expenditure group. This from a man who denies that Saddam had links with Al Qaeda.

Mac-Attack?

I want to wish Bill Clinton good success and a speedy recovery from open-heart surgery. Of course, one can't help but wonder whether Clinton's heart trouble is a consequence of the high cholesterol in all those Big Macs he didn't eat.

As you pray for the former President, please remember the nurses at New York Presbyterian Hospital -- may they be fast on their feet, button their uniforms to the neck, and keep their backs to the wall.

Media's mis-characterization won't fool many

Responding directly to an interviewer's question, "can you win the War on Terrorism in the next four years?" President Bush explained that this war will not have a conclusion like conventional wars, with a peace treaty, or with one nation surrendering to another.

The President has expressed this same truth many times since 9/11, but the Old Media seized on the President's remark, being careful not to quote his words, but re-casting them out-of-context as "Bush says War on Terrorism is unwinnable." This kind of distortion might be expected from the Kerry Campaign (which did in fact commit the same distortion), but the News Media has no excuse for mis-characterizing the President's comment. If the mis-reporting was not a manifestation of anti-Bush Media partisanship, then it can only be a manifestation of Media incompetence.

Notwithstanding the gleeful feeding frenzy by the Media and Kerry Campaigns, does any serious person doubt that George W. Bush is determined to win America's War against Islamist Terrorism? Face it, Jihadists and tyrants toss and turn on their beds at the thought of President Bush winning a second term, while the election of a confirmed Dove like John Kerry would allow America's mortal enemies to once again get a good night's sleep.

Dangerous Crossing

Friday night my wife and I went to downtown Chicago with another couple, for a boat tour of the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. As we passed under a bridge, a passenger mentioned the now infamous Dave Matthews Band Bus incident of a few days before, which prompted us to (as non-chalantly as possible) shield our heads with our hands each time we floated beneath a bridge. As we did so, I was inspired to a limerick:

Two couples got onto a boat,
for a tour of the city, afloat.
With their hands overspreading
their heads, they were dreading
what each bus on each bridge might unload

Flip Flop

John Kerry's "handlers" have been keeping him away from the Press, as they scramble to compose a response to Kerry's hopelessly irreconcilable accounts of his 1968 "Christmas in Cambodia."

What the Kerry Campaign needs is a slam-dunk one-liner, that will put an abrupt end to all the dogged questions that mainstream media reporters haven't gotten around to asking, but some day may.

I think I have the nuanced answer that will extricate the Candidate from this predicament. How's this:

"I actually did cross into Cambodia . . . before I crossed back."

Double Standard for Vietnam Vets

Over the last seven months we have learned that any Senate vote John Kerry has cast, and any issue position John Kerry embraces is unassailable, because he is a Vietnam Veteran, and to say he is wrong about anything is to "question his patriotism."

Now two-hundred fifty Vietnam Veterans have given their word in print that Kerry's Vietnam service was not as heroic as Kerry himself has advertised, and the Candidate's surrogates have fanned out to discredit those Veterans.

If we are supposed to grant unquestioning credence to Kerry because he served in Vietnam, then why shouldn't Kerry's fellow Swift Boat Veterans enjoy the same magical credibility? They served in Vietnam too, so isn't anyone who disputes their motives or their veracity "questioning their patriotism"? Or does that line only work for Democrat politicians?

If his heroics are for real, Kerry should simply release his records and be vindicated

Earlier this year, when the Party of Michael Moore demanded that "deserter" George W. Bush release his military service records, Bush - whose records would supposedly be embarrassing - promptly released the records, which showed that he was a good fighter pilot, flying Cold War continental air-defense missions, and that his service was honorable, if undistinguished. Bush's records were a big dud for Democrats looking for a "smoking gun" to turn swing voters against the President.

Now, just as "war hero" John Kerry reports for duty, founding his campaign for President of the United States upon his putative heroics in Vietnam, those heroics have been called into question by a group of two-hundred of his fellow Vietnam War Swift Boat Veterans. So why doesn't Kerry - whose records would presumably bring him further glory - simply release the records and be vindicated?

Moreover, why does the same news media that gave such frenzied institence to the DNC-inspired "Bush was AWOL" hoopla, now seem so uninterested in seeing Kerry's military service records?

Starring in the role he was born to play?

A guy like Barack Obama is politically dangerous enough -- well spoken, nice looking, youthful, beautiful family, smooth as butter, but every bit the Leftist as Howard Dean or Teddy Kennedy. He is an African American running in a blue, turning bluer state, where the African American vote in Cook County can swing the entire state, with strong turnout -- but to have Obama run for Senate uncontested makes him much stronger than he really is. Uncontested, Obama can simply smile his way into the U.S. Senate, without the People of Illinois ever having a hint of what a whacked-out Leftist he is.

The current situation does not call for a candidate - the seat is probably hopelessly lost for now - this situation calls for an assassin. I most emphatically do not mean character assassination, I mean issues assassination. Obama holds positions on issues ranging from taxes to same-sex marriage, and everything in-between, which are drastically out of step with most Illinois voters, and this election needs an opponent capable of exposing and hurting Obama on those issues. Alan Keyes is just such a man. In fact, this fall Alan Keyes may be starring in the role he was born to play.

Following are some handy guidelines for maintaining (or claiming to have had) a historically proper attitude toward Vietnam Veterans:

1967-1968 Vietnam Veterans are to be respected by ordinary law-abiding citizens, and maligned by long-haired, maggot-infested, tie-dyed, dope-smoking, communist-sympathizing, hippie freaks.

1969-1971 Vietnam Veterans are to be disrespected by ordinary law-abiding citizens, and maligned by long-haired, maggot-infested, tie-dyed, dope-smoking, communist-sympathizing, hippie freaks, and aspiring Democrat Party politicians.

1972-1979 Vietnam Veterans are to be forgotten by ordinary law-abiding citizens and aspiring Democrat Party politicians, and maligned by long-haired, maggot-infested, tie-dyed, dope-smoking, communist-sympathizing, hippie freaks.

1980-1991 Vietnam Veterans are to be pitied by ordinary law-abiding citizens, ignored by Democrat Party politicians, including those who have obtained haircuts, law degrees, Armani suits and seats in the United States Senate, and maligned by long-haired, maggot-infested, tie-dyed, dope-smoking, communist-sympathizing, hippie freaks.

1992-2000 Vietnam Veterans are to be forgotten by ordinary law-abiding citizens, ignored by Democrat Party politicians, including those who have obtained haircuts, law degrees, Armani suits and seats in the United States Senate, or turned the Oval Office into a bordello, and maligned by long-haired, maggot-infested, tie-dyed, dope-smoking, communist-sympathizing, hippie freaks.

2001-2003 Vietnam Veterans are to be ignored by all of the above, except Democrat Politicians who find disaffected Vietnam Vets to predict another Vietnam will result from any use of American military power.

2002-2004 Vietnam Veterans are to be revered by all, even by Democrat Politicians and long-haired, maggot-infested, etc... hippie freaks. A Vietnam Veteran is never to be questioned on any issue of policy, nor any Congressional vote cast. A Vietnam Veteran's military service alone qualifies him for the highest public office in the land, as well as for any inferior office, and puts his integrity and patriotism beyond question, notwithstanding any reprehensible actions the Vietnam Vet may have engaged in, during or after his service.

One teensy-weensy exception to this last rule would be respecting those Vietnam Veterans whose account of John Kerry's Vietnam service differ from Kerry's own self-aggrandizing account. Such Vietnam Veterans should be assumed to have been bought off by sinister Texas businessmen with close ties to Karl Rove and the Bush-Cheney-Halliburton-House of Saud 2004 Campaign. Such Vietnam Veterans are politically motivated liars, and should be discredited and smeared, when they're not being ignored altogether.

7 Minutes -vs- 12 Years

How does John Kerry figure that 7 minutes was too long for the President to wait before taking action on 9/11, but 12 years was too short a time to wait before taking action on Iraq?

Kerry Spells Out America's Choice: Revenge or Prevention

"I will never hesitate to use force when it is required. Any attack will be met with a swift and certain response." These words from John Kerry's acceptance speech define the life and death choice that Americans will make this November.

September 11, 2001 proved that Islamist terrorists are at war with the United States, and President Bush has fought that war with a strategy of destroying the terrorists where they train and plot, and targeting any government that aids terrorists as an enemy of the United States of America, to be pressured into halting its support for terrorism, or overthrown.

The object of such pre-emptive war is to deny our terrorist enemies safe havens, and the type of weapons that could make the 9/11 attacks pale by comparison. America's military might is being used to disable terrorist networks before they can mount another attack on our homeland.

By contrast, John Kerry has proclaimed that, as Commander in Chief, he would wait for America to be attacked again before taking military action. Kerry has promised a September 10th policy: "If attacked, I will respond." But it is September 12th, and the American People must decide whether we really ought to wait around for another attack and hope for the best, as John Kerry recommends.

Voters will choose in a few months whether America's military power will be used by a President Kerry to avenge the murder of our People, or by President Bush to prevent it.

Biggest Yet

The Democrat Convention featured John Kerry's most astonishing flip-flop yet. Until now, a positively notorious opponent and critic of the Vietnam War as an unjust and unneccessary use of American military power, Kerry proclaimed to the assembled delegates, "I defended this country as a young man and I will defend it as President."

STOP THE PRESSES!!! Are the American People to understand that Kerry now views the Vietnam War as a war to defend the United States of America? This is a breathtaking turnabout. If Kerry means what he said in his acceptance speech, the Country should soon be treated to the Candidate's apology for anti-war activities which opposed and maligned a war to defend of America.

As usual, the catch is: "if Kerry means what he says."

Uncurious and Unserious

Sandy Berger, who served as National Security Adviser under President Clinton, is under criminal investigation for stealing classified documents associated with the 9/11 Commission Inquiry. Berger removed the classified documents (some of which he subsequently disposed of) from the National Archives, by stuffing them into his socks and trousers.

This is surely one of the most curious incidents of pilfering since Nixon campaign operatives broke into Democrat National Committee Headquarters in 1972, and it seems obvious to wonder whether Berger may have stolen any documents, the absence of which may have compromised the quality of the Commission's conclusions. Notwithstanding, Media bigshots like Dan Rather, and Democrat Party leaders like Tom Daschle and Terry MacAuliff, have expressed interest only in the "timing" of the revelation, and their minions have dutifully echoed that chorus.

A generous interpretation of the Democrats' and the Liberal Media's lack of curiousity about what Berger was filching, why he was filching it, or even the "timing" of his kleptomania, is that they don't believe in the importance of the 9/11 Commission to averting future attacks. To allow as much would be to admit that the Commission was formed to make partisan hay in an election year. If, on the other hand, they do believe the Commission's work is vital to defending America from terrorist attacks, the Democrats' and the Liberal Media's uncurious attitude toward Sandy Berger's antics reveals how unserious they are about winning the War on Terrorism.

OK Then, Let's Really Be Safe

The State of New York has taken the lead in banning the use of deadly hand-held cell phones while operating a motor vehicle, and we should all applaud this humane and foresighted effort to make our roadways safe for the children.

Disdaining reactionary warnings about a domineering, paternalistic government extending its coercive grasp into every detail of American's lives, many fellow Americans with whom I've spoken approve of this compassionate government action.

Their perspective is noble and progressive, fitting for enlightened 21st century citizens, who prize safety and security above all other petty, parochial and archaic considerations, such as limited government, individual liberty and personal responsibility.

My only rebuke to my saftey-conscious countrymen is that most lack the courage of their convictions. If we are going to make our roadways truly safe, we must attack the root causes of unsafe roadways, and eradicate all distracted driving hazards, not just the popular cause of the pernicious hand-held cell phone.

I urge you my friends, if you support the action of the State of New York to outlaw hand-held cell phones while driving, that you contact your State Representative, State Senator and Governor, to demand a ban on every other driving distraction that imperils the health and safety -- yes, even the lives of our children.

To help you get started on this worthy crusade, below I've provided a litany of distracted driving hazards (DDH's). I trust that you will be able to add to this list; and let us not rest, until we have once and for all made our roadways safe again.

If we're going to be safe on the road, let's really be safe: let's ban all distractions while driving, namely:

Hand-held cell phones
Hands-free cell phones
Car Stereos
Car Radios
(especially those playing Right Wing Talk Radio)
Roadside Billboard Ads
Children in the back seat
(sorry, you'll just have to seat them up front, where they may be decapitated by your Federally-mandated Air Bag bomb, but if we're going to have safety, sacrifices must be made)
Eating and Drinking (of course, we must also close the Fast-Food Drive-Thru Loophole)
Talking
Thinking
Daydreaming
Praying

And finally, the leading cause of distracted driving by that most at-risk group: young adult males . . .
Pretty Girls Walking

There They Go Again

Well, there they go again. Senator Elizabeth Dole accuses John Kerry of another "flip-flop" because during the Democrat Primary he berated John Edwards for his woeful lack of experience.

This charge is simply not fair. Kerry made those remarks almost six months ago! Edwards has a lot more experience now, and just think how much more experience he'll have by Inauguration day in January 2005.

Contingency Fee

There is absolutely no truth to the rumor that John Edwards agreed to run for VP only after John Kerry agreed that if he wins the election Edwards will receive 1/3 of the Presidential salary.
