Time to go on offense?

Perhaps the GOP needs to force the Democrats to put-up or shut-up on the Foley scandal, as they did when "Old Cut-and-Run" Murtha demanded a U.S. withdrawal from Iraq. The House Leadership should propose a Sense-of-the-House Resolution calling for Profiling of Homosexual and suspected Homosexual House Members, in order to protect The Children from sexual predators. Let's see if the Democrats are serious about rooting out the pederasts in the House.

Democrats to the Rescue

Let me get this straight, Americans are supposed to elect a Democrat majority to the House of Representatives because Democrats are going to crack down on Homosexual Perverts preying on teenage boys?

How will Democrats cash in on Foley scandal?

Considering the cozy relationship between the Democrat Party and Homosexual Activists, one wonders just how Democrats hope to convert the scandal of former GOP Rep. Tom Foley's perverted homosexual flirtations with underage Congressional Pages into votes for Democrats.

How about this Talking Point? "If Democrats were in charge this crime wouldn't have been committed -- because if Democrats were in charge we would already have made it legal."

Gossipy Pervez Outs Armitage
I wonder if Richard Armitage had an epiphany while watching the CBS News interview with Musharraf. “ ‘Bomb your country into the stone age,’ that sure sounds familiar; where have I heard that phrase before? Wait, oh my gosh, I think he’s talking about me!" "Marge, get me Colin on the phone.”

Dems Lash Out at Chavez
Memo to Hugo from the American Left: What you said about President Bush was just plain wrong. Read the Talking Points, it's Hitler, damn it. Hitler, not Satan. Let's stay On-Message amigo.

The big loser from Hugo Chavez's "Bush-is-the-Devil" speech at the U.N. was Michael Moore, who will be losing his Democrat National Convention Seat of Honor to Chavez.

Call my Religion of Peace violent and I'll kill 'ya

With Muslims worldwide rioting, burning, pillaging and murdering because the Pope alluded to the violence taught by Islam, the "Religion of Peace" has once again shown its true colors. The New York Times, true to form, counsels Jihad -- um, I mean Submission.

Graham gets a promotion

In the top of the hour FOX Radio newscast on my local station, reporting about GOP Senators joining Democrats to thwart the President on interrogation of captured terrorists, the News Reader described Lindsay Graham as a “senior Republican Senator.” Since the First-Term Senator from South Carolina is not a member of the Republican Senate Leadership, is it his chairmanship of two obscure subcommittees that makes him “senior,” or does Old-Media celebrity --conferred on any Republican willing to backstab President Bush – qualify Graham as a “senior" Republican Senator?

Democrats at War

On the 5th Anniversary of the 9/11 Attacks against America, it is time that somebody stood up to defend the Democrats against the scurrilous charge, leveled by sundry Right-wingers, that Democrats cannot be trusted to fight a war.

The simple truth is that, although they have no pallet for making war against Islamo-Facist Jihadists, Democrats are perfectly capable of making war as ruthlessly as anyone.

Just ask any of the enemies against whom Democrats have been making war, such as:

Walmart

The Boy Scouts

Pharmacuetical Companies

GITMO

Oil Companies

HMO's

The Ten Commandments

Smokers

Fast Food Restaurants

Crosses and Creches

SUV's

Pro-War Democrats

Nuclear Power Plants

"The Rich"

FOX News

Tax Cuts

Conservative Judges

The Timber Industry

Home Schoolers

George W. Bush

Did I miss anyone?

Path To 9/11 Triggers T.B.S.

Leftists are panicked and outraged about “The Path to 9/11” for the same reason they hated The Passion of the Christ: because in their mind Entertainment Media is their exclusive jurisdiction, and Christians and Conservatives have no business using it to tell their story. So the Left is experiencing an acute attack of TBS (i.e. Three Bears Syndrome), “Who’s been sitting in my Director’s Chair?”

If...

Recently a friend emailed me one of those "If Women Ruled the World" gags, and one of the images of a Toilet Seat bolted in the DOWN position reminded me of how I once risked a sexual harrassment lawsuit for a little good clean fun.

At one time we had only one female employee at an office I managed, and she complained about the male employees leaving the toilet seat UP in the one Restroom. After she left for the day I assigned one of my impish subordinates to buy some fishing line across the street at OSCO, and make the toilet seat fast in the UP position. It worked like a charm!

Even with the bathroom lights on, the fishing line was virtually invisible, and the seat was immovably in the UP position. She tried to put the seat down but couldn’t, and not wanting to grant us the satisfaction of admitting that we had “gotten” her, for three days our female employee quietly slipped out to the Gas Station to use the Ladies Room.

Finally, her husband told me what she was doing. We laughed till we cried, then we called off the prank.Considering the fun we had, I considered the $50,000 out-of-court settlement money well-invested.J

Bush-hatred Prevents Left from Cheering American Victory
Before the body of Al-Qaeda terrorist leader Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi was even cold, Liberals were rushing to keyboards and microphones to downplay the importance of the U.S. killing him.

For several years now Liberals have judged President Bush’s prosecution of the War on Terrorism a failure because, despite replacing the anti-American terrorism-supporting tyrannies of Afghanistan and Iraq with democratically elected, pro-American governments, we haven’t yet captured or killed Osama Bin Laden. Yet during most of that time it has been Zarqawi, not Bin Laden, who has posed the most direct Al-Qaeda threat to America and its People.

So, by what twisted logic is getting Bin Laden a big victory in the War on Terrorism, but getting Zarqawi is no big deal? I’d say it’s about time that Liberals let their obsessive hatred for President Bush subside just enough that they can see their way clear to occassionally root for an American victory.

Doublethink

Proposition I: Bush has failed in the war on terrorism because we haven’t gotten terrorist chief Bin Laden

Proposition II: It makes no difference in the war on terrorism that we got terrorist chief Al-Zarqawi

Firing Squad Needed

Notice that would-be deserter, Army 1st Lt. Ehren Watada is described in most press reports as "not a conscientious objector, because he does not object to all wars." This begs the complementary observation that he also is not a conscientious objector because he is not conscientious!

Just because MoveOn.org and the Democrat Party drone unceasingly about Bush's "illegal war" does not alter the objectively verifiable fact that the U.S. Congress authorized (and has re-authorized several times) the war.

Does this meathead mean that the war is illegal because it supposedly violates international law? His oath is to uphold the U.S. Constitution, not the U.N. Charter.

By the way, how does media treatment of this lieutenant who refuses to obey what he considers unlawful orders compare with the coverage of, say, Judge Roy Moore?

Mainstream?

As the U.S. Senate debates the Marriage Protection Amendment, one of the arguments made by opponents of a constitutional amendment is that same-sex marriage should be legal because it is now “mainstream.” Well, a Constitutional Amendment is the consummate test of what is mainstream. In order to be adopted, an amendment must be approved by two-thirds of the elected officials in the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives, and by majorities of the popularly elected representatives in the legislatures of three-fourths of the States. Any proposal that can meet that standard is as mainstream as it gets.

The truth is that advocates of same-sex marriage don’t want the “mainstream” to prevail, instead they have persistently sought to subvert the popular will through the usurpations of activist judges and renegade municipal officials. It is not animus against homosexuals, but these usurpations of power that motivate the push for a Marriage Protection Amendment to restore government by the will of the People.

Growing Wave?

I think the Drive-By Media may be "sexing up" the pre-resignation intel just a bit when they describe half-a-dozen former generals calling for Donald Rumsfeld's resignation as "a growing wave." "Growing" I'll grant, since the number has doubled in the past week from three to six. But six generals out of thousands is not exactly a tsunami.

Perhaps what is most fascinating is the sudden conversion the Bush-hating Media has toward military men whenever one disses President Bush. Any former general can be transformed from a tool of the military industrial complex to a heroic voice crying in the wilderness, if he cries the correct message. And the beauty of speaking out against Bush's Secretary of Defense is that you may do so with complete confidence that no one at the News Networks, the NY Times or the Washington Post, et al. will think to inquire into your motives.

The "growing wave" of generals may all have the purest of motives, but generals are human beings too, and they may not. Donald Rumsfeld has spent five years shaking things up at the Pentagon, trampling on convention, orthodoxy and turf with his reforms. It should come as no surprise that some adherents to the status quo ante don't like the changes, but the septagenarian Rumsfeld returned to Public service to make changes, not to make friends.

Carry on Mr. Secretary.

A Recollection

March 30, 1981: As I approached my friends at a lunch table in the Student Center at DePaul University, one of my fraternity brothers (we'll call him MC) gleefully strode toward me, laughing as he told me that "somebody shot Reagan." I failed to see the humor, and assumed that MC was merely tweaking me, since his elitist Liberalism and my Conservatism were well known to all our aquaintances. Another friend (we'll call him TZ), one of the two fellow students I knew who openly supported Reagan in 1980, looked grave and invited me to his dorm room to watch the news, explaining on the way that the President had indeed been shot.

The story of Ronald Reagan's character and leadership following the assassination attempt is a tale worth teaching to our children and our children's children, but so is the tale of the mean-spirited reaction of my Liberal friend, who went on to Duke University and is now (I'm not making this up) a trial lawyer. But Ronald Reagan, with his genteel manners, optimism, good cheer and confidence in the rightness of his cause and the providence of God, was for all his career as a Conservative accustomed to rising above the MC's of this world. MC left a cautionary tale about the compassion of Liberals and Ronald Reagan left an example of class worth following and passing on to future generations.

Questioning

OK, I know that we can't question the patriotism of Liberals when they root against America in the War on Terrorism, so does that rule also apply to Liberals who wave a foreign flag when protesting against the U.S. Congress?

Just when you thought they couldn't top that...

"WASHINGTON (AP) -- White House chief of staff Andy Card has resigned and will be replaced by budget director Joshua Bolten, President Bush announced Tuesday."

You thought President Bush couldn't exceed the irony of threatening his first-ever veto to defend Arab ownership of American port terminals? Well, think again. The Republican President who has persistently annoyed his most loyal supporters through out-of-control federal spending, chooses as his new Chief of Staff . . . the Budget Director.
